In 2010, Four Seasons Tree Care were awarded Approved Contractor status from the Arboricultural Association. We are proud of our AAAC accreditation as it is testament to our commitment in providing a very professional service with excellent standards of work.

The process involves undergoing a rigorous inspection looking at all aspects of the company’s performance, and the company is re-assessed every other year to ensure that the high standards required are maintained.

This Approved Contractor status sets us apart from the many other tree work companies in our area and it means that as a client you can be sure of a very professional service at a competitive cost.

The Arboricultural Association itself was founded in 1964, and with its 2500 members, it is the largest professional body in the UK for the amenity tree care profession. Amenity trees are those with recreational, functional, environmental, ecological, social, health or aesthetic value as opposed to those cultivated as a timber crop.

The Association is regarded by many as being the focal point for world class best practice in arboriculture, and it’s purpose is to promote the sustainable management of trees for the benefit of all. It provides the standards, training, support and recognition that puts it’s members at the peak of their profession.

Around 30 years ago the Association set up it’s Approved Contractor Scheme which sets the standard for tree work throughout the UK and Ireland and is increasingly required by Local Authorities and other large commercial organizations. It is also of great benefit in the domestic sector as a quality mark assuring the client of tree care undertaken safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. Every approved business has been thoroughly assessed and found competent to carry out tree work to a very high standard.

In 2012 the scheme attained ISO 9001 (UKAS) accreditation in recognition of it’s quality management systems and is now a registered member of SSIP (Safety Schemes in Procurement forum, the ‘umbrella’ organisation for recognised health & safety schemes in the UK.) This brings further acceptance and credibility to it’s scheme members as the national standard for arboricultural contracting businesses.

So, this may be old news, but definitely worth blowing our trumpet about.
