Protected Trees
If your trees are covered by a Tree Preservation Order (TPO) or within a Conservation Area then it will be necessary to make an application or give notice to the local authority. You can leave this to us.
We generally make no charge for a straightforward notice or application.
We have ‘Smarter Planning Champion’ status with the Planning Portal who have checked that our on-line submissions are done properly. This saves time and reduces our carbon footprint.
We have a good working relationship with all local authorities in the area and generally obtain consent for our clients without any problems.
Tree Reports
Trees are dynamic structures that adapt, grow and decay in response to their changing environment. The Occupiers Liability Act requires tree owners to take reasonable measures to ensure that trees on their land are in a safe condition as far as is reasonably practicable. We have the knowledge, training and experience to provide expert tree advice.
We can inspect your trees and provide clear detailed information on their condition, safety and management requirements.
Tree inspections are undertaken by Matt Vaughan who has long experience of working with trees since 1986 and is a LANTRA qualified – Professional Tree Inspector.
We can also arrange for Internal Decay Detection tests. This may be needed to determine whether a valuable or significant tree can be safely retained. These reports can be useful when applying for consent to fell a tree subject to a Tree Preservation Order if the tree has become unsafe and internal decay is suspected.
