Why did you decide on this career path? It stemmed from an early interest in Conservation Volunteering.

What job did you do previously? Fitness Consultancy.

What’s the best part of your job? When a job runs smoothly and a customer is genuinely pleased with the work we’ve done.

What’s the worst part of your job? When kit or machinery breaks down and causes work to stop.

What’s your favourite bit of tree kit and why? The Hobbs block, because of the control it gives when rigging.

What are your day to day responsibilities? Carrying out the aspects of tree surgery required to complete a job and ensuring all relevant aspects of health and safety are adhered to.

What are the most important qualities to have in your job role? Having the necessary skills to work to the standard expected of the company, flexibility, fitness and communication.

In your opinion, what is the culture of 4 Seasons Tree Care? Good team work and professionalism.

What is your favourite season? The football season!

What is the one achievement that you are the most proud of in your life? It’s a close run thing between marrying my wife in New Zealand and saving the penalty in the last game of the season that won the league for the football team I was playing for at the time (!)

When you have free time, what do you like to do? Swim, cycle, travel, listen to music.

Tell me something surprising about you that not many people know.  I spent a year living in a student house with the former Performance Director of British Cycling, Sir Dave Brailsford.
